If you have upgraded your WiFi network at home and you have a new network name and password, you will need to reconnect your sensors in order to transfer the new network credentials to the sensors and plug.
In order to do this we have a feature in the app called ‘Replace Plug’, and ‘Replace Sensor’, which can be used to reinstate an existing plug or sensor, and during that process, reconnect it to a new Wi-Fi network.
Please follow the steps below. You will need to start with the plug first.
- In the app, navigate to the Devices page, select the plug, scroll down and tap the ‘Replace Plug’ button.
- In the app, accept the warning by selecting ‘Yes I’m sure’ and then ‘Replace Now’.
- On the plug, hold the button down until the top LED light blinks blue and red, this takes about 20 seconds, then release the button and the plug will reset.
- Wait for the plug’s top LED to blink yellow. The plug is ready to pair again.
- The app will return to the plug setup, allowing you to connect the plug to your new WIFI network.
- Next, do the same for each of your sensors, selecting the sensor from the devices page, scrolling down and tapping the ‘Replace Sensor’ button.
- To manually reset the sensor, hold the power button down until all of the LED’s light up in a pale blue/white colour, one after another, after which they will ALL turn red. Once they have ALL turned red, release the button again. The sensor is now reset.
- Follow the remaining ‘Replace Sensor’ steps in the app which will allow you to connect your sensor to your new WIFI network.
