If you've recently invested in solar and want to upgrade your Energy Monitoring Solution to a Solar Solution, you have two different options depending on your solar monitoring needs. You can either:

1. Factory reset your devices and reinstall them as an Essentials Solar Solution. This solution will give you your net grid energy import and export data
2. Purchase an additional sensor from one of our resale partners and install this sensor on your inverter for an Advanced Solar Solution. This solution will give you your net grid energy import and export as well as your total solar production, allowing you more insight into your self consumption and potential savings

Please note: factory resetting your devices does not reset or cause loss of your Powersensor data, as it is stored under your Powersensor account.

Upgrading to an Essentials Solar Solution

The Essentials Solution consists of the same components as the Energy Monitoring Solution: one sensor and one plug (but you can add additional plugs if you would like to monitor more than one appliance).

To activate the Essentials Solar Solution, your solar system must already be installed and active. Preform a factory reset on your devices and then reinstall the devices according to the instructions in the app. This time, when you are asked if you have solar select the 'yes' option.

Continue to follow the instructions provided in the app, and you will now have access to both your imported and exported energy information. Your Essentials Solar Solution is ready to go!

Upgrading to an Advanced Solar Solution

If you would like even more information about your solar with more potential for savings, then the Advanced Solar Solution is for you. This solution consists of two sensors and one plug (but you can add additional plugs if you would like to monitor more than one appliance).

Simply purchase an additional sensor from one of our resale partners, give it a full charge once it arrives, and follow the process outlined in your Powersensor App.

First, navigate to your devices view. You should see three buttons below your two current devices. Select the button on the bottom labeled install a new sensor.

From here, you will be directed to a new page, select the option 'Set up solar sensor'.

The app will now guide you through the installation process for the second sensor starting with turning the sensor on and ending in the connection tests.

Now you have a fully functioning Advanced Solar Solution!

Troubleshooting

A few recommendations from the Powersensor team:

• We highly recommend that you recharge your sensor(s) before upgrading to one of our Solar Solutions, this way you won't have to charge them up for a while.
• Keep in mind that your reinstalled devices will have to go through the initial learning process again, so allow them some time to readjust to the new setup.
