In most cases, you will not lose your data if your internet connection goes down. The Powersensor plug and sensors have been designed to continue to communicate and store your data if an internet outage occurs.
However, if your internet is down for a prolonged period of time (1-2 days) you will likely experience a loss of data for the period of time your sensors were not connected to your WiFi network.
If your plug has not reconnected to your WiFi network after power has been restored, try power cycling the plug once the network is back up and everything else is operational, this should restart the Wi-Fi network joining process and the plug should then re-join your network.
