How time zones are set
The time zone is set for your account during the installation process once you have selected your kit type, and once again when the installation is finalised.
The phone's current time zone gets uploaded to our server as the time zone for your account. From that point on the time zone that the app uses refers to the time zone that is stored on the server and will not change.
How the time zone can affect your experience
The account time zone is used to determine when the day, week, and month starts which affects the Now, Historic, and Appliance pages.
When the time zone is set to Australia, the week starts on Monday, however some phones default to a US locale which causes the Historic page to show the week starting on Sunday.
Resetting or changing your time zone
The time zone that has been set will not change unless one of two things happen via the app:
- The ‘Move sensor’ function is used.
- The ‘Reinstall a charged sensor’ function is used.
Both of these features contain a re-test of the sensor signal strength, which will reset the time zone.
