If you have more than one plug
Moving your plug
Yes, you can easily move your plug to another appliance.
If you would like to monitor a different appliance, simply disconnect the appliance, remove the plug from the wall socket, and move the plug to the new appliance.
Check that:
- The appliance is one of the preferred loads
- The plug and sensors are still in Bluetooth range (see What will happen if I move my plug away from the sensor(s), but still within wifi range?)
If you have a single plug
When moving your plug, consider the distance between your plug and sensors and ensure that they are within Bluetooth range. For more information on the appropriate distance, see What will happen if I move my plug away from the sensor(s), but still within wifi range? Once you have found the right place to move your plug, check that the appliance that you are monitoring is one of the preferred loads.
If you have more than one plug
You can move any of the plugs so long as at least any one plug is within Bluetooth range and any one plug is attached to a preferred load.
TIP: Once your kit has been operating for at least a week, you can move the plug temporarily to any appliance around the house. Be sure to return the plug to one of the preferred appliances. Please remember that once the kit is operational, using the plug with a preferred appliance frequently is better (however once per week is enough!)
